About Sannacore

Who we are

A Boston contractor that specializes in flat and low-slope roofs

Sannacore is a roofing company based at 188 Brookline Ave in Boston, with a second office in Wellesley. It was founded by Denis Tchernov, who still leads it as the company's licensed construction supervisor. For more than 20 years our crews have worked on the low-pitched roofs that cover so much of Greater Boston: triple-deckers in Dorchester and Somerville, brownstones in the Back Bay and South End, apartment blocks in Cambridge and Brookline, and warehouses and hotels along Route 128. In that time we have installed or repaired hundreds of PVC, rubber and TPO roofs across Massachusetts.

Most projects start with a free phone consultation, followed by a free visit when we need to see the roof in person. We check the drains, seams, parapet flashing and insulation, and on larger buildings we add drone photos so you can see the same details we see. You then get a written proposal with a fixed scope, a start date and a locked price. When the crew is done, you receive photos of the finished work.

For most homes our first recommendation is an IB Roof Systems PVC membrane with hot-air welded seams, which turns the whole roof into one continuous sheet. We also install and repair EPDM rubber roofs and TPO, replace skylights, build Deck Shield walkable PVC decks, and handle gutters, downspouts and roof insulation. Green roofs and solar-ready assemblies are available when the structure can carry them. See the full list on our services page.

Massachusetts is hard on a flat roof. Snow sits on it for weeks, freeze-thaw cycles pull old seams apart, ice dams push meltwater up under the flashing, and spring rain ponds around clogged drains until it finds a pinhole. Most of the emergency calls we take trace back to one of those four problems, which is why our inspections concentrate on the edges, drains and penetrations rather than the middle of the roof.

Meet the owner

Denis Tchernov, construction supervisor

Denis started Sannacore and personally holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License. More than twenty years of work on Boston-area rooftops gave him the field experience that now shapes the way we inspect roofs and write proposals.

His specialty is single-ply membrane roofing: PVC, TPO and EPDM rubber, including hot-air welded PVC seams and the flashing details around chimneys, hatches and HVAC curbs where most city roofs leak. He is just as comfortable with the extras a flat roof often carries in the city, from skylights and rooftop decks to solar-ready assemblies and raising a sagging roof to cure chronic ponding.

Guarantees

Warranties, price lock and financing

Snow, ice and summer sun are hard on a New England flat roof. Here is what stands behind every roof we install.

Material warranty for life

Residential PVC roofs from Sannacore carry the manufacturer's lifetime material warranty, and commercial PVC roofs are covered for 30 years. Because we are a certified IB Roof Systems installer, the PVC roofs we install qualify for that manufacturer coverage.

10-year workmanship warranty

Materials rarely fail on their own; installation does. That is why Sannacore adds its own 10-year workmanship warranty on top of the material coverage, longer than most Massachusetts roofers offer. If a seam, drain or flashing we installed lets water in, we come back and fix it.

Price lock and financing

The price on your proposal is the price on your final invoice unless you change the scope yourself. Estimates and phone consultations are free, financing is available, and we accept credit cards. Request a free estimate for a quick ballpark on your roof.

Where we work

Our crews are based in Boston and Wellesley and cover the whole of Greater Boston every day: Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, Quincy, Medford, Malden, Watertown and the neighborhoods of the city itself. Beyond the inner suburbs we handle repairs and replacements throughout Middlesex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Plymouth, Bristol and Barnstable counties, and take on residential and commercial projects anywhere else in Massachusetts and in Rhode Island.

Not sure whether your address is covered? The towns listed above are only a sample, so simply call and ask. Emergency leak calls are answered from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, and you can see completed jobs from around the region on our projects page.
